Is my car donation made in California tax deductible?
Vehicles donated on this site will benefit Vetmade, (a non-profit organization dedicated to hiring unemployed Disabled Veterans, teaching them a skill, and preparing them for re-entry into the American work-force) classified with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and are tax deductible.
Receive confirmation of your car donation by providing us with your email address. After submitting your California car donation online we will email you an initial tax receipt with further instructions on how to claim this donation on your taxes.
What paperwork do I need to donate my vehicle in California?
For quickest processing we need the title to your vehicle. But if you have misplaced the pink slip you can download form REG 227 from the California DMV Website and pick up form REG 262 from your local DMV. All you need to do is sign them as the seller and present them along with your car to the towing agent who comes to pick up your vehicle.
California vehicles keep their plates, please leave your California state license plate with the vehicle.

How do I release the liability of my donated vehicle in California?
The release of liability form is attached to your title in most cases, but you can also download the California release of liability form if needed. You can fill out a release of liability form and submit it online too.
